Obituary of Andre Puype

In Loving Memory

Mr. Andre Puype of Delhi, passed away at his home on November 9, 2020 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of Julia (Franssens) Puype for over 60 years. Loving father of Marc (Christine) and cherished grandfather of Lindsey and Mason. Dearest brother in law of Sylvia Puype and Yolande Huyghe. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and extended family in both Canada and Belgium. Predeceased by his brother Roger Puype (2002).  Andre was born in Veldegem, Belgium and shortly after getting married in 1957 he and Julia immigrated to Canada.  He was a maintenance mechanic at the Delhi fertilizer plant for 30 years and a general contractor in his spare time, whose skills helped build many houses in the Adams subdivision in Delhi. Known to friends and family as the one who could fix anything, Andre loved to spend time in his workshop, having many projects on the workbench, around the home and on the go. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing, taking the family to the beach for a BarBQue, and going on adventures up north.  In his retirement he travelled abroad taking many trips. He adored spending time with his grandkids and often took them to the duck park in Simcoe. He will be sadly missed by his family. In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Interment in Delhi Cemetery.
